What does origin-led Indian perfumery mean?
Origin-led Indian perfumery refers to the craft of centering fragrances around authentic Indian raw materials, and the origins that make them significant. Exceptional Indian ingredients are the starting point of any Signature fragrance. We then interpret that ingredient through modern perfumery to create a scent that feels contemporary and easy to wear.
Who is Royal Tuberose for?
Royal Tuberose is for someone who enjoys fragrances that feel creamy, floral and quietly confident. Tuberose brings a rich, creamy floral character, while rose softens the scent and Australian sandalwood adds warmth and depth.
If you enjoy florals that feel smooth and well-rounded rather than overly sweet or light, Royal Tuberose is worth trying.
How does it smell when I first spray it, and how does it change?
When you first spray Royal Tuberose, you get the rich, creamy floral character of tuberose. As it settles, rose adds a softer floral quality, while Australian sandalwood brings warmth and depth to the fragrance.
The result is a fragrance that begins with a full, creamy floral feel and gradually settles into a smoother, warmer finish.
What is this perfume free from?
Fresh Vetiver is made without phthalates, parabens, synthetic dyes and other undisclosed ingredients. Like all Secret Alchemist perfumes, it is made with full ingredient and allergen transparency and uses grain-derived alcohol.
Is it a day fragrance or night? Which occasions does it suit best?
Royal Tuberose works for both day and night. Its creamy florals make it a lovely choice for daytime plans, work occasions and brunches, while the warmth of sandalwood gives it enough depth for dinners, celebrations and evenings out.
If you enjoy floral fragrances that feel polished without being too light, Royal Tuberose can easily become a go-to for different occasions.
Will this perfume make for a good gift?
Yes, especially if the person you are gifting enjoys creamy florals with soft rose notes and a warm sandalwood finish.
It is also a good choice if you want to move beyond the more familiar floral and fresh fragrance profiles. If you are unsure about someone's fragrance preferences, a travel size or our Discovery Set is an easy way to let them experience it first.
How is Signature different from the Alchemy collection?
The two collections start from different ideas.
Alchemy is our collection of modern, everyday fragrances. The scents are designed to be easy to wear and fit naturally into your daily life. Signature starts with the Indian ingredient and its origin, then builds the fragrance around it.
Signature is also more concentrated, at 25% parfum concentration, making it a richer and longer-lasting fragrance experience.
What’s the difference between clean perfume and traditional perfume?
Clean perfumery focuses on ingredient transparency and thoughtful formulation. At Secret Alchemist, our perfumes use grain-derived alcohol, made from wheat, and are formulated without phthalates, parabens and synthetic dyes. We believe you should know what goes into the fragrance you wear.
Rather than making broad assumptions about traditional perfumes, our approach is centred on transparency, carefully selected ingredients and a clear understanding of our formulations.
How do I apply clean perfume for maximum effect?
For the best fragrance experience, spray your perfume onto pulse points such as your wrists, neck and behind your ears. The warmth of these areas helps the fragrance develop naturally on your skin.
You can also lightly spray your clothes to help the scent linger. Allow the perfume to air dry instead of rubbing it in, as rubbing can alter how the fragrance develops. For delicate fabrics, test on a small, inconspicuous area first.
Can the colour of my perfume change over time?
Yes, a slight change in colour can occur over time due to the natural ingredients in a perfume and their interaction with light, air and storage conditions. This is a normal possibility with fragrances containing natural materials and does not necessarily indicate a change in quality or performance.
To help preserve your perfume, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat, and keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
